The Core Youth and Community Centre is a vital and valued hub for Saltash. We are a safe, inspiring place for young people to connect, engage in sporting, creative and leisure activities, and to access essential youth services. And we’re a space for local groups to meet, providing a rich mix of clubs for the community in Saltash and beyond.

Did you know Saltash has its own community shed?
What is the Community Shed?
The Community Shed is where men/women can come to create, converse and connect. It also helps out with community projects like making bird houses for a local woods for example. 🗜️🪚
It’s for any person over the age of 18. Due to health and safety, no under 18s allowed. £30 a year membership
The Community Shed is next to the Core, behind Fountain Head School, Church Road.
Please pop in to:
- Meet new people.
- Learn new skills, such as wood turning, laser cutting etc.
- Demonstrate your own skills.
You are welcome to help out with the Community Shed’s own projects or you can bring your own project to work on. 🪚🗜️
You are also just welcome to pop in for a cuppa and observe others at work, you don’t have to do anything yourself. Just come along to meet new people. ☕️
The Community Shed is a registered charity that is affiliated with the National Man Shed Association UK.
OPENING TIMES:
Tuesdays - 10.30am-12.30pm
Fridays - 6.30pm-9pm
They would like to open more often but need more volunteers. If you’d like to volunteer, please call Steve on 07305316002. Alternatively, just turn up on one of the days for a chat.

UPCYCLING: If you have any old, solid wooden furniture, like a wardrobe or table that you no longer need, the Community Shed will take it for you to up cycle in to something else.

Our cafe will be open for treats and refreshments all afternoon 🍰☕️
Santa will be in his grotto all afternoon with his elves so why not pay him a visit (under 10’s only) 🎅 only £2 per child 🎅
We have a raffle with some lovely prizes to include Bliss Beauty & China Fleet!
All proceeds go back into helping to fund our youth work 👍
